Upgrading my Gear

Post  nealy on Fri Feb 19, 2010 10:19 pm

Ayup Fellas,

Now im into the swing of things and am luckily getting a bonus in the next few months, im looking at upgrading my gear and i need your opinions.

Rods, im happy with my Maver Abyss 2.75's for the min so il be keeping them.

Marker, I have a Maver Abyss 3lb which seems to work fine for the mo
Marker Reel, thinking of either a Mitchell Avocet 6500 or a Daiwa Emcast Evo

Spod Set up, Erics Angling have a deal on Warrior Spod With Mitchell Avocet Reel & 25lb Suffix Gyro Braid for 70 quid!

Reels, i have my Shimmy 8000GTE's on tackle trader as i want a couple of big pits, im keeping an eye out on TT and Fleabay but looking to spend about 150 for the pair. Any Ideas?

Alarms, looking for a couple of Delks

Does anyone have any other recomedations about the kit above?

Im also thinking about one of the Swim Shelter Bivvys, look sweet

Cheers Chaps

An estimate is 20 fish 25-30lb, 70fish 30-35lb, 20 fish 35-40lb and 10 fish 40lb Plus pushing 50lb , in addition to this is the original stock.
And I still blanked the other day.
Better get back on the topic or Jeff will pull his hair out afro

When your all set up I hope you are going to put a pic under the tread tackle tarts on here for us all to see, As regards bivvies chairs and beds I like JRC worth having a look at.
