Re: Welcome to the forum
how do people, I'm another northerner that dwells in not so sunny Blackpool. i feel a bit underwhelmed whilst writing this intro as i'm not famous or sponsored.
my favourite fishery is lakemore in crewe, i don't tend to stick to one fishery as there aren't many syndicates up my way.
i work a hell of a lot so when time permits I'll get on the bank, i reckon i do about 80 hrs a month.
that's me in a nutshell and look forward to becoming a regular user of this forum.

Re: Welcome to the forum
Hi I live in South Africa and have been carp angling most my life.
A few years ago I changed to what we call Carp Specimen Angling, which is based on the european carp style where we use hair rigs like you guys do. Lol! I prefer to use Fox end tackle and often get ragged as a tackle tart lol... but I like the safety clip and with our waters its essential, as they very snaggy.
Well Im glad to announce I managed a teetering 30lber 2 weeks ago, plus a load of 20lb+
Geez! I been battling to get to 30lb for quite some time now, but after going to a wild water, (a very large dam 43 mil cubic meter capacity... thats 43 billion litre hehehe), which by the way we have plenty in SA, I finally got her... lol! 470m out. Needless to say a boat landing, due to the snags in the water, namely TREES, believe it or not.... Yeah, the water level of the dam was 97% when I caught these Carpio. Last time I was there it was 47% and I was able to see the trees on the platou. Well Im glad I found this site and Im sure Im gonna learn a load from you guys and dolls! Hey maybe I could teach you a thing or two in return hehehe! Although our waters arent as pressured as your are, its good to see and hear whats happening at the Euro lakes. I belong to a number of SA forums, where we interact and help each other, Im sure you ppl do the same here. Regards Spod SA
