I got a set of Fox Digital a few weeks ago. The batteries that were in them run down before I even used them! (Cheap ones) I've put some Duracells in now, see how they do. As always with Fox, they have failed to really think it out. You can't switch 'em off, unless you actually remove the batteries. Instead of lots of fancy extras, like a clock and storage facilities for catch records (Does anyone still use a pen and paper?) - which I assume, is why you can't switch 'em off - It would have made sense to have a simple on/off switch. I suppose it helps justify the somewhat inflated price, if they do more than just weigh. (I'm beginning to wonder why I bought them, now! lol) They appear to be accurate (checked 'em against a couple of other sets of scales) and I guess if the battery usage isn't too bad, I'll be pleased with them. If not, you might see 'em on e-Bay sometime soon!

Update on the Fox Digitals. Another set of batteries is running out, already. FOX are beginning to really piss me off! When are they going to make something that is thoroughly tested and checked out, before they sell it. All they're interested in is the money. I know they're a business, but it would be nice if they sold stuff that was actually a little bit more than just good looking. They don't deserve to be so successful. I shall instruct my local dealer, to slap my wrists if I try and buy anything else made by Fox Int.

Fox Digital Scales

Post  Admin on Thu Jun 04, 2009 2:06 pm

Shame about the battery life Jim as they look good and I like the built in handle. I think I might take a look at the rebeun Heaton scales 7000 series then.

by the looks of it though you have to buy the pouch. Also no handle to lift them with? Sad

Anyone tried them? Question

whats the point in digis? do they really give an accurate reading?

cant go wrong with a set of reuban heaton specimen hunter scales, as precise as precise can be and NO BATTERIES. Laughing

Probrably half the price as the fox ones if the rest of there gear is anything to go by.
