Re: Fave particles
oh yes... totally agree, its a must to find out how long soaking/boiling times should be, if unsure, or cant take the time, then the ready to use out of the tin particals is the next best thing.
there is load of info out there, but heres some i use:
Hemp (standard size) soak 24 hrs boil until split,
Parti mix soak 8 hrs boil 45-60mins,
tiger nuts soak 24hrs boil 30-45mins, although i've been buying these in ready to use tin, as i only use them crushed in the mix, due to the fact tigers over fed can be taken by the carp over and over again for some time, so used crushed in a spod or stick mix keeps the carp busy without finding to many whole ones, apart from the hookbait.
Flaked maize soak for about 15-20 minutes,
maple peas soak 24hrs boil 20-40mins.
hope some find this helpfull, but ALL particals do need to be prepared correctly, if any doubt, have chat in your local tackle shop, they will be only to pleased to help.

Re: Fave particles
OH GO ON THEN I WILL LET YOU IN ON THE WAY OF THE FORCE LOL
The easiest way to prepare partical is simply to soak the blend overnight in a large bucket. This allows the seeds and other food particles to swell and take on water, so they will not swell up inside the gut of the carp . However, you are really not going to get the best out of the bait unless you take a bit more time and trouble so this is the best way of preparing multiple magic Place the dry partical in a large saucepan (or two if you need a larger amount) Add one tablespoonful of salt per kilo of dry seeds. Now pour on boiling water to cover the seeds and stir to dissolve and distribute the salt. After about 1-2 hours you will notice that a lot of the water has been absorbed so add more boiling water to cover the seeds once again. After 24 hours in soak the seeds are ready to be cooked. Place the pan over a high heat and bring the water to the boil. * One the water is boiling turn down the heat to simmer and cover the pan with its lid. Simmer Turn the heat up slightly and reduce the remaining water. Allow to cool. Cover and leave in a warm atmosphere for 2-3 days. You will note that the gluten in the grains begins to leak out after 24 hours or so, and the longer you leave it the more it ferments and the smellier it gets.
Ive still got 10litres which ive had for 2 weeks and is,still fermenting in bucket as we speak as long as its stays in water then it will stay soft

Fave particles
Hemp is my favourite particle. It just goes on catching fish, year in year out. They love it. All species. I'd never not have any in the shed, ready to cook up. Easy to prepare, too. Just need a flask, for a small amount.
