No Chris Yates on the list. I know Wrongenuk will have a fit about me saying this but he was the British record holder and via is books and films he has got alot of people into fishing more so than any other angler which keeps our sport alive. He also is one of the very few anglers that can feed you the passion for the sport and does not forget about the basics of fishing and the natural behaviour and instinct of the fish, where with alot of top anglers it is just about having the best gear/ bait and being able to fish the best venues.
So for me I think Chris Yates is number 1, I do feel he has done more for the sport than any other angler, so even if you do think he is a bit old fashioned or strange the man has to be respected as one of the top carp anglers
