Ok,February is now over,and what a great month for our guests,especially after the rain and storms we have had here on the island.
All the lakes apart from Soria are now completely full,to the dams and flowing over!Soria is allways kept at a certain depth which is 40percent full,but the island and lakes are like you have never seen before!Just before the storms,Kevin from Kent had a 40lb!common from st Nicholas lake,which he was well pleased with,his PB! Using all the Nash gear..
Lake Chira has been fishing extremely well, now the water is up it has created new hotspots and we have caught lots and lots of carp,the last weekend of Feb,Craig and Rob had 11 fish to 29lb,myself with 4 fish,the week before our guest Jock from Denmark,having 9 fish ,the biggest being 30lb fully scaled,and again I managed to have a day session and had a 37lb,along with a few other decent fish.
The lake has definately woken up with all the new water and has made fishing a whole lot easier,as we can fish off our lakeside complex private patios,a beer in one hand,a rod in another,with the BBQ,in 80 degrees sunshine!Dont forget there are 6 apartments,
which sleep upto 5,and are of a very high standard with full kitchen and oven facilities.If you are a group of 4 or more,we have our on-site chef who can cook your breakfast and evening meals or you can have a BBQ on your patio!
