withy pool rig returns....

I see the Withy rig is being punted out again, this is my favorite pop up rig, used it when it first appeared many moons ago, although then it was made using Carp'R'Us Nailer hooks which are still great, but after having a problem getting hold of some, I'm now on Muggers.
There's nothing subtle about the Withy, in fact its very bulky looking, and can be a pain to put together(this is the only faf about rig I use), it does look very aggresive in water, and gives a good hook hold.




found this picture, which shows the finished rig, using a longshank hook, I use normal hooks, and have no trouble at all, do a search or have a look at the monthly thats brought it up again if you want to try it.
from a personal note, I like this rig, always have, and found it to work for me, it went into the wonder rig section for many anglers, so got overlooked and under used, and still will because of the messing about needed to make the rig, but sometimes thats not a bad thing.
