as far as i am aware there is only 1 lake in Scotland that's Lake of menteith ,
the rest are all Loch's if you are looking for carp fishing in scotland try contacting the scottish carp group

Coarse fishing on our own 3 acre loch stocked with Carp, Tench, Bream, Roach, Rudd and Perch situated 15 minutes drive from Newton Stewart. Day tickets available but preference is given to guests staying at Corsbie Villa or our self catering static caravan site at North Barnkirk.
