does it really matter
hi all first post and all that
ok folks why oh why do 99% of carp anglers put so much effort into making sure that ,
1 all the rods are the same height
2 all reel handles are at the same angle
3 all bobbins are the same height
4 all rods are the same distance apart
can anyone answer this question because it doesnt make you catch more fish if it all lines up

Re: does it really matter
nope your right there, doesnt make you catch. watercraft and fish knowledge etc catch you fish.
i was just saying about cars as an example cause its true in many areas, home cars fishing etc.
You make a good point about catch rate and yes its about looking the part. The thing is to tally the two together

no theres plenty of other blokes.........the only bit that you should spend top dollar on is from line down to hook, thats the important bit, yeah we like to have the nicer stuff, but reels are reels,my reels will do what a basiar can do...wind.lol
trust ive seen geezers with all the gear, then you look at there rigs you can see they wont catch feck all,it it amazes me the amount of people i see with the wrong gear,3lb test rods with casting ring,500 quid reels for long chucking then spend all there time fishing lakes no bigger than 5acres........oh i laugh!

Re: does it really matter
i prefer to get the presentation of my rigs bob on rather than wats on the bank, even if it means fishin one or two with slack lines. i also prefer to have my rods pointin straight at my rigs, i pay good money for gear but for the right reasons not to show off.
