Re: yately lake........please help
South lake.... not been there for a few years, but i know things have changed a great deal, its not as hard as it used to be, main problem is swim choice, as your going on saturday, you could find a few already on there, its has looked busy each time i've gone by this week, but dont let that put you off, there are plenty of fish in there, and a fair few swims are worth a look, other than the most popular, when you get on, see if there is a bailiff about, they should be able to tell you whats coming out and where from, also what swims have not been fished, if theres lots of pressure an unpopular swim might be a good shot.....the lake is full of features, bars, gravel, etc, so a good walk around is always a good starting point.
bait wise, pop ups, with pva bags always worked, so no reason why it still wont, from what i gather, the lakes been given a major facelift, and alot of the snags, holding areas have been removed, so the fish move around alot more.
some of the top swims include, the car park, then the boss, which is on the point looking back to the car park, willow beach, left hand side, known as the housebank, theres bound to be more now, but cant remember them, just take a good look around, and dont be affraid to do something different, remember, fish swim in the margins too....
have a great trip, and hope you draw one or two out....

Re: yately lake........please help
how did you get on there mate, i had a very short session there today, loads of fish moving about, and things looked good for a fish or two, but had to cut it short, so will have another go at some point soon, must say it has changed a huge amount, so much has been removed, and the fish are moving around alot, so its a bit strange to how i knew it.
but its still got some cracking fish in it.
