Best Surface Fishing set up?

Post  Admin on Tue Apr 21, 2009 12:11 pm

Now the warmer weathers here lets see what your favourite surface fishing set ups are like? Again drawing or pics would be great to illustrate them

Same as rich just straight threw line and hook(with a bit of a twist) i tie a small loop about 4ft from the hook, which i use to pva various sized nuts to(nuts that go on bolts)for various distances,i normally use the pva string which is made up of several strands and unwrap it and use a single strand wrapped threw the loop and nut a couple of times it soon disolves and pops up to the surface. I dont know of anyone else useing this method of distance free lineing and have kept it underwraps up untill now and would like anyone who trys it out to do the same please!

ye iv used it for 20 yrs now mate, but i dont use bolts. i just put a stone in a little mesh wrap and hook it on the the hook b4 casting.
You can even put a few mixes in bag with it
Its great for swinging the rod out when you are unable to cast overhead, with it been on the hook you get a good swing but ifits up the line or you av a float on it will tangle a lot of time
