Off white is ok (looks like a washed out bait) but I don't understand why you're putting a percentage of real squid powder in at the expense of bouyancy. Unlike a bottom bait the fish never get to eat a pop up so surely just an attractor flavour is needed, in my opinion anyway.

Sorry to be fussy but there'd be no point in offering to field test them if I wouldn't use them.

Chris, squid powder is a soluble ingrediant so it's gonna leak out alot of attraction ideal for pop ups better than any nasty fake chemicals but i see what you mean about the bouyancy maybe you could do some corkballs? Smile

LOL, I ain't looking to make my own fella just looking into whether I'd use these pop ups from Opus. I know most 18mm pop ups will hold my choddie up but I prefer to fish a smaller pop up if possible. Cork ball jobbies would do the trick but I prefer to pierce my baits

R right i get you now LOL,Opus anychance of doing corkball or corkdust pop ups it's is really enoying when you get pop ups that don't pop up,corkballs with pop up mix needs a 4oz lead to sink them, well edgy lol!

I will explain a bit more about the baits.
They are a off white bait sized 14mm that contains squid flavours for a quicker release and 10% real squid food for a slower release and has shown better results than just the flavoured mix.
They have been designed to allow the baits to be popped-up and be presenteted with a small weight that will not affect or restrain or restrict the bait as the fish mouths it and picks it up in the aim to not spook the potential capture of the fish.

If that makes sense?...

what i've found with the opus pop ups is they are very bouyant, smell is great, not overpowering, the colour(pink, shrimp) is nice and bright, and well packaged, looking forward to being out again soon, and hope to report a catch!!!!
