The weather played havoc this week with just about everything other than snow occurring. Driving rain, gales, sunshine, hail and frost meant that the carp never really settled into any pattern of feeding. The water level is now very high and the fish are in great condition and fighting fit but down in weight. I had 25 this year a few less than the norm but they were stacked up in the deep water where Steve took 39. The average size was good though and I had 6 forties.
